What it is

The P72 is De Tomaso’s production revival car. Concept: Goodwood Festival of Speed 2019. Production spec: 14 May 2025, Affalterbach. First customer commission “Aurelian Night”: 2 June 2026. Name = 72 cars. Inspired by the 1965 P70 (Alejandro De Tomaso + Carroll Shelby).

Early plan used an Apollo IE-related tub. Production car: De Tomaso states a clean-sheet carbon unibody with HWA — 4×4 twill, one-piece monocoque, carbon front/rear subframes. Assembly: Affalterbach, Germany. Designer: Jowyn Wong. CEO: Norman Choi (also Apollo).
