1937 Bugatti Type 57S Atalante

Not only is chassis 57502 one of the most coveted cars on the planet, but it also boasts a captivating history. This model is one of only 17 Type 57S models fitted with Atalante bodywork. It was originally delivered to Earl Howe in 1937 through Sorel of London. Subsequently, the Bugatti changed hands multiple times before being acquired by Dr. Harold Carr from Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 1955. Carr stored the Bugatti in 1960, where it remained untouched until his passing in 2007.

After its rediscovery, the car was offered at Bonhams’ 2009 Rétromobile sale. It had an estimated value of around £6 million but failed to meet its £3 million reserve price. A comprehensive restoration was undertaken, and the car was eventually sold for £7.8 million at Gooding’s Passion of a Lifetime sale in 2020. Since then, it has remained in the Pearl Collection.

1960 Abarth 1000 ‘La Principessa’

Chassis E1351 represents the pinnacle of the sleek, aerodynamic record cars co-designed by Abarth and Pinin Farina.
