🎉 Ferrari Legacy Tour : Celebrating the F40 🚀

Date: September 27-30, 2023
Highlight: A roaring convoy of 30 Ferrari F40s taking on Italy’s picturesque roads.

The first Ferrari Legacy Tour honored the legendary F40, one of the most exciting and iconic Ferraris ever built. Launched in 1987, it was the last Ferrari personally approved by Enzo Ferrari before his passing in 1988, making it an emotional and historic event for owners. The F40 was Ferrari’s second supercar after the 288 GTO and the first road car to exceed 200 mph, blending cutting-edge composite technology with Ferrari’s unparalleled engineering prowess.

Day 1:

• The event started at the luxurious Augustus Hotel & Resort in Forte dei Marmi, a stunning seaside town between the Tyrrhenian Sea 🌊 and the Apuan Alps.
• After a warm welcome and a technical briefing, the F40 convoy embarked on their first leg, heading towards the charming town of San Miniato, where route books were stamped.
• The route passed through lush Tuscan roads, including a stop at Villa Mansi in Capannori for a lunch steeped in history and art. The F40s then cruised through the ancient streets of Lucca, drawing admiring gazes as the cars made their way through the city.

Day 2:

• The second day took the F40s on a thrilling ride over the Apennines, following the same roads used in the Mille Miglia and by Ferrari test drivers. The convoy made its way to Maranello, the home of Ferrari, where the cars were displayed in Piazza Libertà, and welcomed by Piero Ferrari, the company’s Vice-Chairman.

Day 3:

• The final leg of the tour saw the F40s taking on Ferrari’s famous test roads around Maranello. The day culminated in a memorable display at Piazza Roma in Modena and a gala dinner at Esperienza Ferrari.

The tour concluded with a lap at the Fiorano Circuit, Ferrari’s private track, where participants had a chance to relive the history of Ferrari and the F40’s monumental impact on automotive culture. 🏁

🎉 Ferrari Legacy Tour: Celebrating the GTO 🌄

Date: October 2024
Highlight: 25 Ferrari GTOs tackling the scenic mountain passes of the Italian Dolomites.

The second Legacy Tour in October 2024 honored the Ferrari GTO, which marked its 40th anniversary. Unveiled at the 1984 Geneva Motor Show, the GTO was Ferrari’s first supercar, boasting a 2.8-liter turbocharged V8 engine, a sleek Pininfarina design, and cutting-edge composite bodywork. Initially intended for Group B racing, Ferrari built just 272 examples, making it one of the most coveted models in Ferrari’s history.

Day 1:

• The tour began at the luxurious Lefay Resort & Spa in Pinzolo, located in the beautiful Madonna di Campiglio ski area. From there, 25 pristine GTOs embarked on a breathtaking journey through the Italian Dolomites 🏔️.
• The convoy explored Senale, one of the highest villages in the Alps, and passed through the South Tyrol region, surrounded by vineyards and castles. The winding roads and lush valleys set the perfect scene for the GTO’s powerful roar.

Day 2:

• The second day offered more thrilling drives, with the GTOs ascending the challenging roads of Monte Bondone before arriving at Riva del Garda, a picturesque town at the northern end of Lake Garda. The day concluded with a scenic return to Pinzolo, where the cars were displayed for an admiring public.

Day 3:

• On the final day, the GTO convoy headed south towards Maranello, passing through Costermano sul Garda and the culturally rich city of Mantova. At Ferrari’s headquarters, GTO owners were treated to expert insights from Ferrari’s Classiche department, learning untold stories from the original GTO development team.
• The tour concluded with a parade at Fiorano Circuit, offering drivers the chance to experience the track that shaped Ferrari’s legacy. The three-day journey ended with a fitting tribute to Ferrari’s first supercar, and a celebration of its ongoing impact on the world of luxury and speed. 🏁

Legacy: Both the F40 and GTO Legacy Tours captured the essence of Ferrari’s rich history, blending passion for the Prancing Horse with Italy’s unparalleled beauty. These exclusive events bring together owners, drivers, and fans for a celebration of Ferrari’s engineering, speed, and timeless appeal.
