🔥 Giamaro: Two Cars, One Wild V12 Dream 🇮🇹

Italy’s newest supercar maker, in blue and green. 💙💚

Modena has built supercars for decades 🏁, and a new name is now trying to join Ferrari, Lamborghini and Pagani. Giamaro Automobili (often misspelled “Gimaro”) was founded by father and son Giacomo and Pierfrancesco Commendatore 👨‍👦, and it already has two very different cars on the stand. 🇮🇹

The Katla, in Azzurro Giamaro

The powder-blue car in our first shot is the Katla 🌋, Giamaro’s debut hypercar, named after an Icelandic volcano 🇮🇸. This one wears the “GC” livery, which mixes Azzurro Giamaro, Bianco Infinito and Grigio Cenere with exposed carbon fibre. 🖤 You can see the carbon front splitter, side blades and black multi-spoke wheels. The rear is said to recall the Lotus Evija 🇬🇧.

The engine is the real story. 🔊 It is a bespoke 6,988cc, 120° V12 with four turbochargers ⚙️, developed with Turin specialist Italtecnica 🇮🇹. Power is reported at over 2,000 hp 💥 in its top setting, unlocked through a three-key system 🔑🔑🔑. The car also has adjustable dampers, variable ride height and an electronically controlled rear spoiler that doubles as an air brake. 🛑 Veteran engineer Loris Bicocchi 🧠, whose résumé includes Lamborghini 🇮🇹, Bugatti 🇫🇷, Pagani 🇮🇹 and Koenigsegg 🇸🇪, leads the engineering.

The Albor, the Green Wildcard

The teal-green machine in the second photo looks like the Albor 🌿, Giamaro’s second model. It is a concept for now 🧪, and it takes the usual supercar formula and lifts it. ⬆️ It has a classic low, wide supercar shape but far more ground clearance, almost SUV-like. Think hypercar attitude with off-road ambition. 🏔️ Note the aggressive nose intakes, the exposed carbon trim and the sculpted fenders.

Behind it in the same shot sits another blue Katla with its door raised 🚪✨, and next to it a V12 on display, turbos and all. 🔧

🏆 Why It Matters

Giamaro is betting that there is still a market for loud, mechanical, many-cylindered cars 🎶 while the rest of the industry turns to hybrids and EVs. ⚡ Two cars at the same show, one close to production and one a bold concept, show a young brand with ambition and a real engine. 🚀
