The Bugatti Chiron Profilée, a truly unique piece of Bugatti’s history and the last W16-powered car available from the Atelier, has fetched an astonishing price of 9,792,500 Euros net* at the RM Sotheby’s auction held in Paris on February 1st. This remarkable sale establishes the Chiron Profilée as the most valuable new car ever sold at auction.

With the complete sell-out of Chiron1 models, the W16 Mistral2, and the Bolide3, the auction of the Chiron Profilée4 marked the final opportunity to acquire a new Bugatti featuring the legendary W16 engine directly from the Atelier in Molsheim, France. Bidding for this significant piece of Bugatti history was intense, with competition from both attendees in the room and phone bidders.

Hendrik Malinowski, Managing Director of Bugatti Automobiles, expressed, “With only one Chiron Profilée ever set to exist, it was important for us to offer the opportunity to acquire this piece of history to as many people as possible, and we were excited with the enthusiasm of the global automotive community for this very special car. Bidders clearly recognized the importance and value of the Chiron Profilée, with an intense rivalry and a price that places this car firmly into the history books.”

The winning bid of 9,792,500 Euros net now grants the new owner of the Chiron Profilée the privilege of adding this automotive masterpiece, the very last Bugatti available for sale from the Atelier in Molsheim with the legendary W16 powertrain, to their collection.

Marcus Görig, Car Specialist at RM Sotheby’s, commented, “It was an honor for us to host this very special lot in collaboration with Bugatti. The sale of the Chiron Profilée was one of the most anticipated moments of the whole auction, with enormous global interest in the car. The Profilée attracted considerable attention at the auction among bidders and curious viewers who had visited to have a glimpse of this unique car. With numerous bidders in the room and on the telephones, there was a real sense of history being made, and we congratulate the new custodian of the Chiron Profilée on their extremely special acquisition.”

The name ‘Profilée’ pays tribute to one of Jean Bugatti’s initial creations, a specific Type 46 model known as Surprofilée, distinguished by its sleeker silhouette and an elegant sweeping tail. Much like its predecessor, the Chiron Profilée has etched its own chapter in Bugatti’s 114-year-old legacy.

Similar to the Chiron Pur Sport5, the Chiron Profilée boasts the formidable 1,500 PS development of the quad-turbo 8.0-liter engine. However, this automotive gem stands out with its exceptional design and details. The integrated fixed rear wing not only enhances stability at high speeds but also provides essential cooling for the W16 engine. The Profilée is the first Chiron sold with a woven leather finish in the interior, and its unique exterior color, Argent Atlantique, sets it apart. The horseshoe-style wheels, inspired by Bugatti’s iconic horseshoe grille, are exclusively designed for this specific car, adding to the distinctiveness of the Profilée.

Bugatti has completed the development of its ultra-exclusive Centodieci, priced at £9 million, following extensive testing that included over 30,000 miles of road and track evaluations. It’s undoubtedly a challenging task, but someone had to ensure it was perfected, right?

Now, the very first customer car, part of an exclusive production run of only 10 units, is poised for delivery, and it appears that the chosen specification is nothing short of perfection.

The fortunate owner, with deep pockets, has opted for the striking EB110 Blue for the exterior paint, perfectly complemented by the EB110 Sport Silver wheels. These choices align seamlessly with the Centodieci’s mission to pay homage to the pre-Volkswagen, Romano Artioli-era supercar. Additionally, it’s worth noting that the new owner also possesses the V5 to the matching EB110, as seen in the image above.

Zonda 760 LM Roadster. Like all 760 versions, it is characterized by its large rear wing and the shark fin that connects the roof to the rear. The “LM” stands for “Le Mans,” and its front headlights were inspired by that type of prototype, very different from those of a traditional Zonda.

The curiosity of this specimen no longer comes from its creator from Santa Fe, Horacio Pagani, but from the owner of the vehicle. Different sources in Italy and our country claim that the owner of the LM is an Argentine. Also owns a Zonda Cinque Roadster, and the most well-known among Argentinians is the collector “El Principito.”

The Pagani Zonda 760 LM made its debut on the streets of Andorra for the very first time! Building on the legacy of the Zonda 760RS, 760LH, 764 Passione, and 760 Fantasma, the LM undoubtedly stands out as the most striking road-ready Zonda ever created.

The recently filmed car, initially spotted at the Pagani factory, didn’t feature the distinctive central fin seen on other Zonda 760 series cars. However, it has since been equipped with this central fin, making the Zonda LM even more visually striking. The car boasts a prominent roof scoop, an imposing rear diffuser, and most notably, a massive rear wing with substantial end plates on either side.

At the front of the car, changes are evident. The exposed headlights have been replaced with bulging front wheel arches, and clear plastic now covers the headlights in a more traditional automotive fashion. This design alteration enhances the car’s aerodynamics. Furthermore, the car’s hood incorporates two prominent air ducts, a departure from other road-ready Zondas, resembling the track-only Zonda R. The visual transformation is completed with LM decals on the sides, brake calipers adorned with the Italian flag, and a body crafted from bare carbon fiber.
