The Ion Tiriac Collection (Romania)
The World’s most impressive Car Collections

The Tiriac Collection boasts a remarkable ensemble of over 200 historical vehicles dating back to 1899, alongside high-performance cars featuring contemporary designs. 🚗✨

Driven by a profound love for automobiles, Mr. Ion Tiriac expressed, “Out of passion for cars, I have collected vehicles manufactured since 1899. I now have the joy of sharing this passion with the gallery visitors. Part of the history of car evolution is to be found in this collection,” during the inaugural event in 2013. 🗓️🎉

Ion Tiriac, renowned tennis champion, and a prominent sports promoter, graduated from the Institute of Physical Culture in Bucharest. Awarded the title of Professor of Physical Education and Sports, with a specialization in tennis and basketball, Tiriac’s multifaceted sports career also included professional hockey. 🎾🏒

From 1958 to 1964, he excelled as a hockey player in the “Stiința” Sports Club, representing Romania in the Ice Hockey World Championship at the Winter Olympics in Innsbruck in 1964. 🏑❄️

Additionally, Tiriac’s tennis prowess earned him over 40 titles, including the prestigious Roland Garros tournament. His involvement in over 150 Davis Cup matches, including three finals against the United States team, led to the well-deserved title of “Master Emeritus in Sports.” 🏆🎾

Situated in Otopeni, adjacent to Henri Coanda Airport, the gallery, inaugurated in November 2013, spans approximately 4,300 sqm. Enthusiasts can explore models from renowned manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz, Rolls-Royce, Jaguar, Cadillac, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Maserati, Ford, Chevrolet, Harley Davidson, and Indian Scout. 🏎️🌐

What sets the Tiriac Collection apart is its exclusive showcase of all seven Rolls-Royce Phantom models from the I-VII series, including two units from the IV series—recognized as the most exclusive Rolls-Royce generation ever built. Originally crafted between 1950 and 1956, these cars were designed for royals and heads of state. 👑🚗

At the heart of this collection lies the Hurtu 3 1/2 Quadricycle, a testament to automotive history, crafted in 1899 and one of only seven units still in existence. 🕰️🔧

Notably, every vehicle on display at the Tiriac Collection gallery is fully functional, meticulously maintained by a dedicated team of professionals. Some units have undergone comprehensive restoration by Tiriac Collection’s skilled engineers, preserving their timeless charm. 🛠️👨‍🔧🎨
